Four of a Kind Ranch & Cattle Co.
A Black Angus calf on the range

The cattle

If a bull can work here, it can work anywhere.

Registered Black Angus, bred to be successful in Arizona and comparable environments — country that asks a bull to walk long distances, breed in the heat, and hold condition on native forage. That's a real filter. The bulls that come off this ranch have passed it.

We use EPDs to select for what actually matters: sound feet and legs, fertility, calving ease where relevant, and carcass merit at the far end. The cow/calf side of the herd came first. AAA bull breeding came after — a deliberate expansion, not an afterthought.

Buying a bull

What we breed for.

Soundness
Feet, legs, structure. A bull that breaks down doesn't earn out.
Fertility
Semen-tested and range-proven. Bred to breed.
Carcass merit
Marbling, ribeye area, and yield selected through EPDs across the pedigree.
Disposition
Handled quietly since day one. Cattle that work with you, not against you.
Environmental fit
Raised at 7,000 ft summer, desert winter. They know how to move and how to eat.
